If the job needs it, I also do front, backend and data. I do not split myself into “frontend only” or “backend only”. I pick the tool that solves the problem.
Angular, React, Next.js. Node and Python on the backend. The stack depends on the team and on what is already running.
Usual stack
- Front — Angular, React, Next.js, Tailwind.
- Backend — Node (Nest, Express), Python (FastAPI, Django).
- Data — PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
- APIs — REST, GraphQL. OpenAPI if it needs documenting.
What I usually do
- Join a product that already exists and change what the team can absorb.
- Leave an API and a UI someone can keep.
- Migrate in pieces. No big bang.
